Primary Modern Foreign Languages
Languages are an essential part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Not only do they provide an opportunity to communicate more effectively with others, they also help children to understand what it is to be a global citizen.
In KS2 pupils learn French. We believe that the learning of other languages and cultures opens up the world and develops flexible thinking for our pupils. They learn about the languages, custom and culture of the countries. As we have mixed age classes we have a comprehensive rolling programme of skills and language development which combines the essential techniques of repitition , familiarisation and enhancement. So children can revise and add to concepts learned.
