Our Values
Christian values are embedded in the day to day life of our school. We focus on six core Christian values to support the children’s lifelong journey of faith. Love, Friendship, Forgiveness, Respect, Humility and Trust
Alongside our core values, we also promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
The Government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these values were reiterated in 2014. At Melling St Wilfrid CE Primary School, these values are reinforced regularly and promoted across the curriculum and daily life of school (please click on the link below for our overview of examples).
